J.B. Stamping has a dedicated production welding department. We specialize in MIG and TIG of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as resistance welding. J.B. Stamping can also join metal using mechanical joining processes that can reduce your overall cost.
Welding & Fabricating
MIG Welding
MIG (Metal Inert Gas) or GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) is for welding thicker materials where speed is more important than cosmetics. MIG welding requires less skill than TIG welding and is therefore usually more cost effective.
TIG Welding
TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) or GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) is used for superior quality welds where low spatter and distortion are required. Because of the lower heat, TIG can be used to join thinner materials without burning through.
Resistance Welding
Resistance Spot Welding (RSW) and Projection Welding (PW) are resistance welding techniques used to join metal where speed and cost are important. Resistance welding has lower strength than MIG and TIG welding but is more economical.
Mechanical Joining
J.B. Stamping uses the patented Tog-L-Loc® System to fasten plain or coated metals without welding, riveting, or other fasteners. Tog-L-Loc® offers both cost and quality advantages while maintaining coatings and finishes on materials.
